Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Custer Gallatin National Forest, Montana
Last September, Mr. Pettit and I fulfilled a long-held dream of visiting the islands of French Polynesia.
Two weeks ago, we traveled to West Yellowstone, Montana, to snowmobile through Yellowstone National Park and the Custer Gallatin National Forest.
Both places, though vastly different from one another, are spectacular. Perhaps because they share an Artist in common.

Your work is exquisite
In turquoise blue
Or shimmering white.
Whether the sun
Blazes at dawn
Or gives dimming light,
I am dazzled
By Your creation.
A sketchbook of seasons
Holds Your designs
For frost and flower.
Snowflakes, petals
Tenderly placed
With infinite Power.
Extravagance
For its own sake.
You pour out majesty
In generous measure.
You slash Your paintbrush
And create treasure
In Earth’s hidden corners.
Divine pleasure
In all You’ve made.
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Genesis 1:31 (ESV)
Moorea, French Polynesia
